Mrs Lindsay Cooper-Smith

SEN Teacher

Lindsay is a qualified SENCo who has been teaching for 13 years. She has experience of EYFS, KS1 and KS2. She is qualified in Pivotal MAPA (CPI) and is a Trauma & Mental Health Informed Practitioner (TISUK). Lindsay is also the CAPO champion for the Trust. Lindsay is extremely passionate about supporting children with SEMH needs.


Mr Josh Harris

SEN Teacher

Josh has been teaching for five years and has experience in Key stage one and Key Stage two. Josh completed a BEd (Hons) Primary teaching degree and has a specialism of Physical education. Additionally, Josh has experience in a variety of different forums with the trauma informed approach. Josh enjoys supporting children and teaching them new skills.


Mrs Sue Healey

SEN Teaching Assistant

Sue has 21 years experience in primary education. She has a real love for working with children with special educational needs. Sue is great at finding creative ways to help support children. Sue enjoys playing chess and spending time with her grandchildren. Sue has a particular ability to build positive and supportive relationships with our learners.

Mr Patrick Owen

SEN Teaching Assistant

Patrick has 8 years experience in EYFS and primary education. He is currently studying a degree in Teaching and Learning at Plymouth Marjon University and is a member of the Local Advisory Board for the Trust. Patrick enjoys working with children and is always finding new ways to support our learners. Patrick also works in the Trust's HUTs to support pupils with SEMH/Trauma needs.

Mrs Louise Duffy

SEN Teacher

Louise is a qualified Science teacher with 24 years experience in both mainstream and special needs education. She enjoys nature, art and music, and believes in helping children to develop a whole wealth of personal skills and talents alongside their academic subjects.


Miss Vicki Gunn

SEN Teaching Assistant

Prior to joining Mount Tamar in 2017, Vicki had many years experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, promoting independence and social skills. She has a National Diploma in art and design. 


Mr Josh Brown

SEN Teaching Assistant

With a degree in Outdoor Education and lots of experience in special schools Josh has a passion for learning outside the classroom and believes in experience based learning. He enjoys being outdoors and spending lots of time at the beach.
